Actor Chadwick Boseman, best known for his portrayal of Marvel superhero and fictional Wakanda King, Black Panther, died Friday, August 28, 2020 of cancer at age 43.
He died at home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side, a statement posted on Twitter.
Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago but had not made the information public.
The news has left fans and the film world stunned and in mourning.
Chadwick battled his cancer condition for four years without hardly anyone but his family knowing. Some of his film portrayals included legends and pioneers, Jackie Robinson, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall, and of course, fictional superhero, King T’Challa/ Black Panther, for whom it was said was the honor of his career; however, perhaps it was Marvel’s honor for him to have portrayed the Hero.
